its formation in 1960 as Trumanns Steel, the Austin Trumanns Group
has grown steadily so that today, it is one of the leading independent
steel stockholder and processor in the UK.
This sustained growth has provided the springboard for diversification
and expansion of the Group’s product range and customer base
across a wide range of industrial and engineering steel users.
Today the company operates from service and processing centres at
Manchester, Wolverhampton, Brighouse and Newry and has additional

whilst retaining its traditional approachability and local expertise.
Not only does the group offer a huge range of general steels from
the smallest round, flat or square and angle, it also supplies the
largest universal beams and columns, along with a vast range of plates,
sheets and hollow sections.
All this, together with in-house facilities for sawing to length,
shotblasting and primer painting, plate profiling and guillotining
is backed by a modern fleet of both rigid and articulated vehicles.
